Allen C. Brotherton

Allen Brotherton is, quite simply, a trial lawyer. He has 22 years of experience trying a wide range of courtroom matters with an emphasis on defending people charged with crimes. Allen has successfully handled virtually every type of criminal charge in state and federal courts: everything from traffic tickets and DWI charges, through crimes such as larceny, assaults, drug possession and distribution, conspiracy and money laundering charges all the way up to first-degree murder. Allen is in court literally every day and has a well-earned reputation for thinking outside the box in finding innovative defenses for his clients.

In addition, Allen has experience arguing appeals in all appellate courts, and has successfully handled civil matters in a wide array of areas.

Allen was born and raised in this area and was a leader in basketball, football and academics in high school. His distinguished undergraduate and law school career at UNC included induction into the Phi Eta Sigma honor society and being awarded the prestigious Morehead Scholarship. He is active in his church community and loves playing golf & basketball with sons Haynes and Gray and wife Lynn.
